Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Alzaabi, UAE’s Ambassador to Pakistan, has praised the talent possessed by Pakistanis in all fields, as he reflected on his stay in the country in a post on Arab News.
The top diplomat said that he enjoyed his time in Pakistan due to the hospitality of locals. He added that the amalgamation of respect, humanity, coexistence, and openness to different cultures is needed to deal with extremism and terrorism which Pakistan has been battling in recent years.
Highlighting the efforts of the UAE government for intercultural harmony, he informed that establishing the Ministry of Tolerance was a historic move.
Given prevailing circumstances, tolerance has become more important than ever, and keeping this in view, the United Arab Emirates has taken many steps to promote it on a national, regional and global level.
2019 is also being celebrated in the UAE as the Year of Tolerance to promote peace and harmony among people of different beliefs.
