Karachi-based Internet Service Provider NetSat (Pvt.) Limited has initiated arbitration proceedings against WorldCall Telecom Limited over alleged breaches of contract relating to the operation, expansion, and management of WorldCall’s fiber network in Pakistan’s southern region.
WorldCall Telecom Limited has not yet issued a public response to the allegations. ProPakistani reached out for a comment but didn’t receive one at the time of filing. It will be added once received.
According to a public notice issued by NetSat, both companies had entered into an agreement under which NetSat carried out work on WorldCall’s network infrastructure across Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Quetta.
The arrangement allegedly included the utilization, development, and enhancement of fiber, aerial, and underground telecom infrastructure.
NetSat alleges that WorldCall Telecom violated the terms of the agreement, prompting the initiation of arbitration proceedings. The company further claims that certain disputed network assets and upgrades continue to be commercially used despite the ongoing conflict.
NetSat has also cautioned businesses and stakeholders against entering into agreements involving the disputed infrastructure in the southern region, stating that the matter is now subject to arbitration and remains unresolved.
The dispute will be settled through arbitration, which will determine the final rights and obligations of both parties.
