Vivo Unveils X30 With 90Hz Display & 60x Zoom

Vivo’s X27, a camera focused mid-ranger, was launched earlier this year and Vivo is already expected to unveil its successor, the X30 in December. The lineup will include the Vivo X30 5G and X30 Pro 5G that will bring flagship-grade specifications including a 90Hz display, Exynos 980 SoC, and camera module that will allegedly offer 60x zoom.

The Chinese phone maker has released a teaser video on the device which not only reveals the design but some of the phone’s camera capabilities as well.

The Vivo X30 5G has a vertical camera layout in the upper left corner at the back. The cutout holds three camera lenses, while the fourth one is placed separately under the LED flash unit beside the camera cutout. The teaser video suggests that these cameras will have a periscope lens with up to 60x zoom capabilities. The video ends by saying that the Vivo X30 will be capable of professional photography.

From the looks of it, it appears that Vivo is attempting to create a camera experience to take on the Xiaomi Mi Note 10.

Vivo has confirmed that the phone will be fueled by the Exynos 980 SoC with support for standalone and separate dual-mode 5G. It is also expected to bring 33W fast charging to the table.

Rumored Specifications

The Vivo X30 will feature a 6.5-inch OLED display with a 1080p screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. It may have a 4500 mAh battery and a memory configuration of 8GB/128GB. The camera department is expected to have a 64MP main sensor.

The Vivo X30 may arrive with a starting price of $455 in China.
