Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is planning to expand its iQOO lineup of smartphones soon. The iQOO Neo 855, in particular, is reportedly getting a successor that will feature a slight chipset upgrade.
The iQOO Neo 855 is powered by the Snapdragon 855 flagship SoC, and since its successor will allegedly sport the Snapdragon 855+, it is expected to be called Vivo iQOO Neo 855+.
The reason why the SD855+ is only a slight upgrade is that the underlying chipset is, in fact, the Snapdragon 855 but slightly overclocked for a bump in performance.
Furthermore, the device’s listing at the Android Enterprise platform reveals that it will flaunt a 6.4-inch FHD+ screen with a Super AMOLED display panel. It will have 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, though models with more storage space are to be expected.
The iQOO Neo 855+ has also recently been through 3C certification, which revealed that the phone may ship with 33W fast charging.
Do note that none of these specifications are official and are only a set of leaks from different third-party sources. There have been no official statements from Vivo yet. However, more details are expected to surface through the TENAA listing.
The Vivo iQOO Neo 855+ is rumored to arrive in December.
