Samsung is Working on New Phones for its A Series of Smartphones

Courtesy of growing competition due to the emerging Chinese OEMs, 2019 was a year of mid-range smartphones for Samsung. The Korean Giant completely revamped its A-series lineup.

Recently, a famous tipster Ishan Agarwal revealed that the giant has already started working on successors to the 2019-launched A-series.

The model numbers SM-A115X, SM-A315X, and SM-A415X refer to Samsung Galaxy A11, A31, and A41 respectively. It is expected that the base model of the A-series launched in 2020 will feature 64 GB of expandable storage while the above-mentioned smartphones will feature 128 GB built-in storage.

Samsung is reportedly also working on Galaxy A51, A71, and A81. The first two will most probably feature a punch-hole camera while the Galaxy A81 is expected to be a rebranded stylus-toting Galaxy Note 10 lite.

The first phone from the Samsung A-series will allegedly launch in the start of 2020 and if the rumors are to be believed, it will be built around a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ (1080p) resolution, will come with an Exynos 9611 SoC topped with 4 GB RAM and will have either 64 GB or 128 GB of onboard storage.

Software-wise, the A-series smartphones will run on One UI skinned Android 10. On the camera front, the maximum imaging capability for selfie camera is expected to be 32 MP and for the rear camera, analysts are expecting a maximum 48 MP main sensor.
