Federal Govt Announces Winter Vacations for Islamabad’s Educational Institutes

With the sharp fall in mercury levels, the federal government has announced winter vacations for educational institutions starting from December 23rd.

According to the notification issued by the federal education department, all public, private schools and colleges in the federal capital shall remain closed from December 23rd to December 31st. The educational institutions will reopen on January 1st.

The education department has also directed relevant authorities to ensure private educational institutions remain compliant. Private schools and colleges can face legal action in case of non-compliance.

However, students have demanded that winter vacations should be extended as the announced holidays are insufficient for them to completely enjoy the cold weather.

  • please extend vacations till 13th January as it also extended in Punjab and its cold in Islamabad too
