SCO Conducts Tree Plantation Drive in Sweet Homes Islamabad

Special Communications Organization (SCO), the largest telecom network of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan, has organized a tree plantation drive at Pakistan Sweet Homes, Islamabad. The campaign was led by SCO brand ambassadors Mr. Usman Mukhtar, a renowned actor, and Ms. Maryam Mujtaba, the first female commercial pilot from AJ&K and people with disabilities from respective NGOs. Saplings of Pine, Jasmine, Guava, and Mulberry trees were planted.

Patron in Chief Pakistan Sweet Homes Mr. Zammurrad Khan and senior officials of SCO were also present. Children of sweet homes planted saplings for a clean & green Pakistan. The event was held as a part of SCO’s corporate social responsibility initiative-Islamabad Chapter, through which trees are being planted to mitigate the effects of climate change.

SCO through this drive bolstered their focus on creating awareness and a sense of responsibility among society for preserving and nurturing the environment. Last year, over a million trees, were planted under the “Sarsabz-O-Shadab” campaign in AJ&K and GB region.
