KP Govt to Build a Digital Complex in Peshawar

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Information Technology Board and PCSIR Labs have inked an agreement to set up a digital complex in Peshawar.

According to reports, the digital complex will feature an IT park, innovation park, incubation and co-working facilities, data center, business process outsourcing ready facilities, display centers, auditorium, and other IT facilities.

Chief Minister KP and Federal Minister for Science and Technology were also present at the official ceremony.

CM KP, Mahmood Khan, said:

The Peshawar Digital Complex is an initiative of the KP government that would provide the province a platform to play its part in the much bigger platform, Digital Pakistan.

In November 2018, the incumbent KP government approved the province’s first-ever digital policy.

The policy identifies four key areas:

  • Job creation
  • Connectivity
  • Empowerment
  • Inclusive economic growth

Peshawar Digital Complex is in line with the KP’s digital policy as it not only would create employment opportunities, but it will also help the economy to flourish.
