HMD Global is prepping to launch new Nokia phones through a London based launch event in 10 days. One of the highlight devices on this event will be the Nokia 8.2 5G, which will be the company’s first 5G smartphone.
The Nokia 5 lineup will also be getting a successor for 2020 at this event dubbed the Nokia 5.3. The phone is rumored to come with a 6.55-inch LCD with a dot drop notch at the top and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9.
The Nokia 5.3 will feature the Snapdragon 665 SoC with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. There are also going to be 3GB and 4GB variants, but storage will remain the same in all of them.
The design at the back is going to be identical to what we’ve been seeing in recent Nokia smartphones. There will be a circular camera module housing a quad-camera setup and an LED flash in the middle. There will also be a fingerprint sensor directly below it.
Rumors suggest that the main camera will be a 16MP lens alongside an 8MP dua and a 5MP lens that will offer ultrawide and telephoto capabilities. The front-facing camera is expected to be an 8MP shooter.
The 4GB/64GB variant will cost $180 and will come in Charcoal and Cyan color options.
As mentioned before, the Nokia 5.3, 8.2 and a handful of other devices will be unveiled through a London based launch event on March 19.
