The highly anticipated Poco F2 has finally arrived and just as expected, it is a rebranded version of the Redmi K30 Pro targeted at a different market. The only difference between the two is that the Poco F2 will ship with the Poco Launcher 2.0 instead of the stock MIUI launcher.
Let’s have a look.
There is the same 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with no notches or punch-hole cutouts thanks to the pop-up selfie camera. Sadly, the panel is only 60Hz unlike other flagships this year, but there is 180Hz touch sampling for smooth and responsive gaming and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The back has a large quad-camera setup housed in a circular module above an LED flash.
The Poco F2 rocks the flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC with support for SA/NSA dual-mode 5G connectivity. The 6GB RAM variants are limited to LPDDR4X RAM, whereas models with 8GB and above bring LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1.
As mentioned before, the Poco F2 Pro will boot the Poco Launcher 2.0 on top of Android 10.
The primary camera setup includes a 64MP Sony IMX686, with a 13MP ultrawide lens, a 5MP macro shooter for close-up shots, and a 2MP depth sensor. The main camera is able to record 8K videos at 30 FPS, 4K videos with 60 FPS, and 1080p slow-motion clips.
The motorized pop-up selfie camera is a 20MP shooter that can also capture slow-motion clips and time-lapse shots.
There is a massive 4,700 mAh battery on-board that is equipped with 30W fast charging that is capable of charging the device from 0 to 100% in 60 minutes.
Poco F2 Pro starts at €499 and goes up to €599 for more RAM and storage. It will be available in Neon Blue, Electric Purple, Cyber Grey, and Phantom White color options.
