PHA Lahore Launches 1st Public Event after Covid-19

As we’re all tired of staying indoors with the same boring activities, PHA and the Government of Punjab join hands to initiate and normalize stepping out of your homes once again!

Since the pandemic is under control now, they bring you their first public event post-COVID-19 called ‘Pages Unread: A Guided Tour of Bagh-e-Jinnah’.

Formerly known as Lawrence Gardens, Bagh-e-Jinnah is considered as Asia’s third-biggest botanical garden and is one of the most popular gardens in Lahore because of its history and botanical diversity.

People are very excited to step out of their homes to value a place that is home to several old trees, has nearly 150 different kinds of trees, 140 kinds of bushes, 50 types of vines, 100 different types of green plants, and 30 species of unidirectional trees.

If you’re looking for peace, this is the perfect place to visit whether you’re a nature enthusiast or not!

Visiting this place has an emotional element to it as at the heart of this garden is a tree that is almost 150 years old and still standing strong.

The park also had a nostalgic mention of the 1970s and 1980s life in Bano Qudsia’s remarkable Urdu novel, Raja Gidh. Places like these are very significant if you really want to learn and experience history.

Take your parents and grandparents with you and they’ll for sure have a lot to tell you about it!

There are majestic Buddha trees along with 200+ trees that are not commonly seen in Pakistan. From trees older than 150 years and huge noisy bats to birds aviary, Bagh-e-Jinnah has so much to offer.

Plan a guided tour with your family and be amazed by nature that is so close to us. Smell the fresh air and listen to birds chirping all around you.

The place also includes two hills, a cricket pavilion, an Open Air Theatre, a British-era building — the Montgomery Hall, and the Quaid-e-Azam Library.

It’s everything you don’t want to miss out on and if you’re living in Lahore and haven’t visited Bagh-e-Jinnah, what are you waiting for?

Tickets are exclusively available on the www.BookMe.pk app and website for 500 PKR only, and a tour guide will help you understand the historical significance of the place.
