Balochistan Ministers Overspend Annual Budget by Rs. 130 Million

Balochistan government ministers and their staff spent Rs. 130 million more than their approved budget during the 2025-26 financial year, according to a report.

The provincial government had allocated Rs. 761.8 million for the salaries and incentives of ministers and their staff. However, actual expenditure rose to Rs. 892.1 million by the end of the financial year.

The overspending also extended to fuel expenses despite the government’s austerity measures and instructions to reduce petrol consumption following the war in the Gulf.

A total of Rs. 49 million had been allocated for fuel, but spending reached Rs. 62.1 million, exceeding the approved amount by Rs. 13.1 million.

The figures show that expenditure on ministers and their staff remained above budget despite the government’s emphasis on careful spending and reduced fuel use.
