October has plenty of major hardware releases lined up, but there is something coming for software as well. Google has started sending out invites to its “Search On” event planned for Thursday (Friday for us) where we will hear about the company’s AI-powered features.

Google canceled its 2020 developer event for this year and has been revealing news and updates through blog posts and presentations instead. This event will likely follow the same approach.

According to the tagline, we will get to hear about “the latest ways Google is harnessing the power of AI to help people understand the world around them.”

The invite itself does not reveal much of what’s coming, but we are expecting to hear about the Google Search, Google Assistant, Google Maps, among other features that use AI. The event will be live-streamed at this link at 12 am on Friday.
