Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ 5G to Feature 50MP Quad Cameras With Snapdragon 865 [Leak]

Oppo is set to announce the Reno 5 series on December 10 including the Reno 5, the Reno 5 Pro, and the Reno 5 Pro+. The company has already confirmed the design and specifications for the Reno 5 and Reno 5 Pro, but there is still no official word on the rumored Reno 5 Pro+.

However, a new leak from Weibo shows the design as well as some of the phone’s specifications. The Reno 5 Pro+ looks a lot like its siblings with a rectangular-shaped quad-camera setup on the back. The main camera is said to be a 50MP Sony IMX7xx series sensor, making it the first phone to feature this sensor.

The other lenses are expected to be a 16MP ultrawide unit, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The purpose of the fourth camera is unknown, but it appears to be a periscope lens. The source claims that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC.

There will be a version with a plain leather rear panel, which will be the first phone to be mass-produced with an electrochromic back cover. This is not the first time we have seen an electrochromic back cover, as the OnePlus Concept Phone featured it as well, but that device is not commercially available.
