Vivo Confirms iQOO 7 Series With Snapdragon 888

Chinese phone maker Vivo has promised to launch Snapdragon 888 powered phones in 2021. The company’s iQOO lineup is expected to feature some of those phones and the brand has just confirmed that the latest iQOO series is coming soon.

Vivo’s next flagship release is going to be the iQOO 7 lineup and the company has also given us our first look at the device. The reveal comes from the company’s official Weibo account.

The image shows what appears to be a BMW edition of the Vivo iQOO 7. It has a triangular-shaped triple camera sensor at the back and a metal housing below carrying the brand name and the LED flash. There is a tri-color strip going down the right corner of the rear panel.

The design resembles that of the Vivo X50 and the upcoming X60 smartphones.

Vivo does not mention it explicitly in the post, but it is clear that there is going to be a BMW edition of the iQOO 7. The Chinese company collaborated with BMW in the past for the iQOO 5 Pro as well.

As for specifications, the iQOO 7 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 888 SoC, a flat AMOLED display, 120W fast charging, a 50MP main camera, and a 16MP selfie shooter, and Android 11.

A launch date will likely be revealed in 2021.
