Vivo’s upcoming flagship, the iQOO 7, is confirmed to arrive next week on January 11. Rumors have previously claimed that the gaming-oriented iQOO 7 will have a pressure-sensitive screen and a new vibration system to improve the gaming experience. This has now been confirmed by the company’s latest teaser.
The new pressure-sensitive screen feature will be called Monster Touch and it will optimize two zones of the screen in landscape mode, left and right. We are yet to see how this works in real life or its application in different games, but it is likely a hardware solution to improve gaming.
The iQOO 7 has already appeared in official images as well as live photos all over Weibo. The flagship phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, though exact memory configurations are unknown. It will have support for 120W fast charging, which will likely be reserved for the special BMW Edition.
The screen is expected to be a 6.56-inch flat OLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. There will be three cameras on the back, as can be seen in the image above. The main camera in this setup will be a 50MP unit, whereas the front-facing punch-hole camera will be a 16MP shooter.
As mentioned earlier, the Vivo iQOO 7 will be unveiled on January 11.
