The Indian cousin of the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is here and it is called the Xiaomi Mi 10i. The big headline is that it has Samsung’s new HM2 108MP sensor, which is an update over the 108MP sensor found on the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. Otherwise, the two phones are virtually identical.
The screen is a 6.67-inch LCD panel with FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The refresh rate is adaptive, meaning it can automatically bring it down to 30Hz for videos and back to 120Hz for gaming and other apps. This helps save the battery significantly.
The main chipset is the Snapdragon 750G with support for 5G. It is paired with 6/8GB RAM and 64/128 GB memory configurations. The battery capacity is 4,820 mAh and it is paired with 33W fast charging that is able to charge the phone from 0 to 100% in less than an hour. The charger is bundled with the retail box.
The main 108MP camera is next to an 8MP ultrawide unit and a duo of 2MP sensors for macro shots and depth sensing. The punch-hole front camera is a 16MP shooter.
The Xiaomi Mi 10i will officially go for sale in India on January 8 for only $287. It will be available in Pacific Sunrise, Midnight Black, and Atlantic Blue colors.
