Only 1 in 1000 people in Islamabad who have been vaccinated so far developed minor reactions after receiving the Coronavirus vaccine.
According to details, 18 of the 19,000 healthcare workers and senior citizens faced minor effects following immunization.

Fortunately, none of the 18 people died or were hospitalized after developing a minor reaction to the Coronavirus vaccine.
In this regard, a senior microbiologist has said that the medical term for the reaction to a vaccine or medicine is “anaphylactic reaction” and 1 case in 1000 is quite normal.

On 2 February, Prime Minister Imran Khan kicked off the countrywide vaccination campaign with healthcare workers. On 10 March, the immunization drive for citizens aged 60 or above was started.
On 15 March, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) granted a walk-in vaccination facility for citizens aged 70 or above. After registering at 1166, citizens of this particular age group can get vaccinated by walking into any adult vaccination center (AVC) across the country.
