Xiaomi has been leading the wearables market for a while now. One of the company’s subsidiaries Haylou is going pretty strong. Last year, it launched the LS05 smartwatch that gained a lot of traction amongst local and global consumers and now the company has announced a new smartwatch dubbed the Haylou LS05S that comes with a similar form factor but some hardware changes.
Design and Display
The smartwatch comes with a familiar form factor featuring a circular dial and a silicone strap. In terms of display, it retains the same 1.28-inch TFT color screen with 240 x 240 resolution. However, it ditches the smooth and curved finish of its predecessor and instead, comes with a rougher and sharper cut metal body.
As compared to the Haylou solar, the Haylou RT has a more rugged finish. The two massive buttons on its right side add to the look. The wrist band is wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, skin-friendly, and breathable. In addition to this, the watch is IP68 certified, making it dustproof and waterproof. However, it is not certified for swimming.
Other features
The new Haylou smartwatch comes with support for 12 different professional sports modes. It is equipped with high-precision motion sensors and AI algorithm analysis to keep a track of the user’s health and exercise regime.
The watch also packs a new generation heart rate sensor which, according to the company, offers a more accurate heart rate and health tracking. In terms of battery, it comes with a slightly smaller 300mAh battery that can last for 15 days on a single charge.
