Karachi to Face Extreme Heat During the Next 4 Days

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast higher than average temperatures to hit Karachi in the next four days.

The current heatwave is expected to intensify as the port city bids farewell to convectional winds of the west and gears up for the usual dry and hot winds to blow from the northwest.

Karachi recently witnessed the hottest day in its history, recording 44 degrees on 3rd April as hot winds from Balochistan continued to blow across the port city all day.

With the sea breeze not betraying any cause for commotion along the shores, the Met Office predicts temperatures to retain intensity for at least the following week, as Karachi prepares for the holy month of Ramazan. Additional forecasts suggest temperatures to drop after sunset, and citizens can expect nights to be cooler.
