A new leak on Android 12 now shows that we may be getting similar features on Android as well. The report comes from the team over at XDADevelopers who got their hands on an unreleased version of Android 12 and uncovered some upcoming features. The leak is also accompanied by screenshots, giving us a good idea of what to expect.

The leak shows that we may get enhanced privacy controls in Android 12. An upcoming version may include a “Show clipboard access” toggle in privacy settings. Once this is enabled, it will show you a notification when an app is accessing your clipboard.

These notifications appear at the top in iOS but will appear on top of your keyboard in Android.

Another feature that the XDA team managed to uncover is granular location controls. This will allow you to give apps an approximate location instead of your exact location once they request it. You will, of course, be able to choose between your precise location and your approximate location.

Further, we may also get a kill switch for all sensors on the phone as well as advanced notification controls. There are no details available on this just yet but we expect to hear more over the next few weeks.
