vivo V21 Review: What’s All the Hype About?

vivo’s long-awaited device, V21, was launched in Pakistan earlier this month. Ever since its launch, there has been a buzz in the market about how sleek and trendy the device looks, how it supports OIS not only in the rear but also in the front camera, and how amazing its night photography results are.

Every tech enthusiast has been talking about vivo V21 features and we are no different. We were equally fascinated by all the features marketed by this global brand. The fact that vivo had always delivered on its promises, persuaded us to try the device ourselves. In this review, after using vivo V21 for some time now, we are sharing our experience with it.

So, if you plan on buying any device under the price range of Rs. 59,999, keep reading this article to know if vivo V21 is really worth all the hype.

Be the Light at Night with 44MP OIS Selfie System

The 44MP OIS Super Night Selfie System in vivo V21 is heavily marketed. You must have also seen this in its TVC featuring Hania Aamir and Fahad Mustafa. But what is the OIS and how does it actually work?

Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) is an industry-leading hardware solution to the blurry images caused by handshake while capturing. The inbuilt gyroscope detects the movement of the subject, and the Micro-Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS) adjusts the camera lens accordingly. As it reduces the noise caused by camera shake in handheld shots, the resulting images turn out to be astonishingly perfect.

With the 44MP OIS Super Night Selfie, the camera automatically stabilizes the photos while making the nighttime selfies surprisingly clearer and brighter. This is not only limited to the selfies but videos recorded from V21’s selfie camera come out great as well.

Another astonishing feature we discovered is that vivo V21 can record selfie videos with 4K super high definition. The details captured from vivo v21’s front camera are remarkable even at the night, thanks to its Dual Selfie Spotlight feature. The Dual Selfie Spotlight coupled with Aura Screen Light increases light exposure in the lowlight environment and results in beautifully captured shots. So now you do not have to worry about capturing your dynamic moments.

64MP OIS Night Camera

vivo v21 supports a triple rear camera setup that includes 64MP OIS Night main camera, 8MP Multi-Functional camera, and a 2MP Super Macro Camera. The shots taken from the 64MP OIS Night camera turns out to be well-detailed and amazingly clear no matter how dark the environment gets.

The rear cameras also carry various features such as Eye Autofocus, Double Exposure, Dual View Video, Child Face Beauty, and Personal Facial. Our favorite among all these splendid features is the Dual View Video which records videos from both sides of the smartphone.

Sleek Design

The vivo V21 is packed in an Ultra Slim AG Design with a thickness of only 7.29mm. Its premium and minimalistic design make it one of a kind device. The cherry on top is its lightweight that makes it handy and easy to use throughout the day.

Additionally, the Dual Tone Step design and side frame with straight lines make V21 easy to use and stylish at the same time.

Performance & Other Features

vivo V21 supports an octa-core MTK 800U processor with 8GB Extended RAM and 128GB ROM. Its display features up to 90Hz refresh rate make the user experience super smooth. Furthermore, we found the 33W FlashCharge technology to power up the smartphone real quick.

The device contains a water-drop selfie shooter at the front, an extremely thin bezel, USB Type-C port, dual SIM tray and speakers at the chin, and a power button and a volume rocker at the right edge. However, the smartphone misses out on a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Final Verdict

We are absolutely impressed by the night shots and design of vivo V21. If you are a photography enthusiast and are looking for a slim design under Rs. 59,999 then you should consider v21.
