Realme 8i Shows Up in Official Looking 3D Images

The Realme 8 series is about to be updated 5 months after launch. We already have the Realme 8, the 8 5G, and the 8 Pro, but we are now about to get the Realme 8i with slight upgrades over the base model.

The device has just appeared in a new leak from Digit.in, which shows the phone in official-looking renders and also shares key specifications.

Realme 8i looks mostly the same as the Realme 8, but without the two-tone design on the rear or the large “Dare To Leap” branding. The fingerprint sensor has also moved to the side atop the power button.

The report from Digit.in also shares key specifications for the phone. The Realme 8i will reportedly feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, up from the 60Hz on the base model. The punch-hole camera on the top left will house a 16MP shooter.

The 64MP main camera has been swapped out for a 50MP shooter and the 8MP ultrawide shooter has been removed. Instead, you get a duo of 2MP shooters for depth sensing and macro shots.

The Helio G95 SoC will be replaced with the newly announced Helio G96 chipset, which was announced last month. This will be paired with 4GB RAM, 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery. There is no mention of fast charging, but it will likely be the same as the base model at 30W.
