Realme to Launch an Ultra Premium Phone With 125W Charging

Folks over at GSMArena had an exclusive interview with the Vice President of Realme, Madhav Sheth. The executive had plenty of compelling information to share, most of which had to do with Realme’s upcoming phones, the GT series in particular.

The VP revealed that the company will commercialize 125W UltraDart charging next year. He also said that they’re planning to launch an “ultra-premium flagship” for the GT series, but did not go into details about it. Though given the “ultra-premium flagship” ranking, the 125W fast charging is likely meant for this upcoming mysterious Realme GT phone.

As for the 125W UltraDart charging, this technology can fill a 4,000 mAh battery from flat to 33% in just three minutes. This new charging protocol will also be compatible with several other protocols such as 125W PPS, 65W PD, and 36W QC. This means that it can support several different charging speeds and phone models from different brands.

There are little to no details on Realme’s upcoming ultra-premium phone, but at least we know that it will be a part of the GT series with top-end specifications. We also know that it will carry a 4,000 mAh (or bigger) battery with 125W UltraDart fast charging tech.

We don’t expect to hear detailed news until at least the end of 2021.
