A total of 23,497 shopkeepers/retailers have been registered with the Tajir Dost scheme till June 4, 2024.
According to the data released by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday, out of a total of 23,497 registered retailers, 5,599 belong to Karachi. A total of 7,297 shopkeepers have been registered in Lahore.
Within the areas of Islamabad, 2,153 retailers have been registered.
A total of 3,067 shopkeepers have been registered within the jurisdiction of Rawalpindi.
Within the areas of Peshawar, 2,037 retailers have been registered under the Tajir Dost scheme.
Around 1,317 traders have been registered in Quetta and 2,027 retailers have been registered in other small cities taking the total registration number to 23,497, FBR data added.
