The much-anticipated Pakistan Women’s Football Club Championship is set to commence on July 21, marking the beginning of a week-long tournament that promises to bring thrilling football action to Pakistan.
This premier women’s football event will feature initial rounds in four cities which include Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi and Quetta from July 21 to July 26, 2024.
This year’s tournament features teams from four distinct groups, each representing one of the host cities. The Karachi Center Group, Lahore Center Group, Quetta Center Group, and Islamabad Center Group will compete for the coveted championship title.
Karachi Center consists of four groups, Islamabad Center consists of two groups while Lahore and Quetta consist of one group each in the tournament.
The top teams from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals, adding an extra layer of excitement to the already intense competition.
Football enthusiasts across the country are eagerly awaiting the start of the championship, which is expected to showcase some of the best talents in women’s football.
PFF has expressed its commitment to ensuring a smooth and successful tournament, with all necessary arrangements in place for the players and spectators.
The championship is seen as a significant step forward in the PFF elections that will take place in December. The National Women’s Championship will provide an opportunity for female athletes to demonstrate their skills on a national stage.
The championship’s final round will take place in Islamabad from August 1 to August 10, 2024. The top teams from 8 groups will compete for the coveted title. The semi-final is scheduled for August 8 and the final will be held on August 10 at Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad.
