The vice chancellor of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University has expelled three students from the Food and Science Technology department following an investigation into sexual harassment allegations involving two students at the university’s government hostel.
The decision was based on the recommendations of the university’s Discipline Committee, which has issued an official notification regarding the matter.
According to the university administration, the disciplinary committee completed its investigation and concluded that three students should be expelled, with their degrees, enrollments, and results canceled.
The expelled students, Muneeb Ahmed, Muhammad Aneeb Ayaz, and Saad Wahab, were in their final Food Science and Technology Department semester. The Sadiqabad police have arrested them, and a case had already been registered against them.
The University Inquiry Committee has allowed the expelled students the right to appeal the decision. University sources noted that the three students were members of a political party on campus.
