FIA Recovers 2 Kids Who Went Missing Two Years Ago

In a major operation, the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) NCB Interpol successfully retrieved two children who had been missing for two years. The children arrived at Islamabad airport from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and were subsequently handed over to the Punjab Police, as reported by 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The provincial police had informed the FIA about the children’s disappearance, which had been reported at Barki Police Station in Lahore in 2022. Interpol had issued yellow notices to aid in their recovery, identifying the children as Muhammad Huzaifa and Ahmad Umais Abid.

FIA officials credited the enforcement of the Integrated Border Management System (IBMS) for tracing and recovering the children. They noted that the new system links Pakistan’s immigration database with Interpol’s, which helps trace missing children, detect stolen passports, and apprehend wanted suspects at Pakistani airports.
