The low air pressure in Gujarat, India, which had caused extremely hot weather in Karachi, has moved towards Oman. As a result, Karachi has experienced a pleasant change in weather with the arrival of a sea breeze.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz announced that Karachi is now experiencing typical July weather. He forecasted that the city would remain cloudy in the coming days.
Light rain and drizzle are expected in Karachi in the evenings and nights over the next few days, with a more significant rain spell predicted to begin on July 30.
Last week, Karachi experienced its hottest night of July for the second time this month. The temperature reached 32 degrees Celsius, equalling the record for the highest nighttime temperature ever recorded in Karachi in July.
Karachi’s average temperature for July is typically 27.9 degrees Celsius, which means that the recent nights have been 4.1 degrees Celsius warmer than usual.
On the other hand, the fourth spell of monsoon rains began in Punjab yesterday. According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the current spell will continue until July 25 across the province.
