PTA Denies Giving Concessions to LDI Companies on Their Pending Dues

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has clarified that it never granted any exemptions to long-distance international companies for outstanding dues.

“Reference to the news appeared in ProPakistani that Minister of State for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja has reversed billions of rupees in exemptions previously granted to Long Distance International (LDI) companies by the Ministry of IT & Telecom and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA),” the regulator said in an official statement.

PTA said it never granted any exemption to LDI for outstanding dues but requested MoIT to renegotiate with LDI operators about full payment of outstanding dues.
