The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced the recruitment of doctors and paramedical staff for the Capital Hospital to fill vacant positions, as part of a broader initiative to enhance the hospital’s operational efficiency and financial sustainability. This decision was made during the 9th meeting of the CDA Board, chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, on Tuesday.
The CDA board approved the recruitment of medical professionals to address staffing shortages in the Capital Hospital. This move aims to improve the quality of healthcare services provided by the hospital. A key focus of the meeting was on making the Capital Hospital financially sustainable. Chairman Randhawa emphasized the importance of transforming the hospital into a self-sufficient institution capable of delivering high-quality healthcare.
Chairman Randhawa directed that proposals for establishing a medical college within the Capital Hospital should be presented at the next board meeting. This initiative aims to enhance the hospital’s educational and training capabilities.
The board decided to conduct a study of financial rules from other institutions in the country, aiming to adopt the best practices for decentralizing financial powers within the CDA. The meeting also reviewed the current fiscal year’s income and revenue generation targets, aligning them with the broader goals of financial sustainability.
The board approved the adoption of paternity and maternity rules to support the welfare of CDA employees, demonstrating a commitment to creating a supportive working environment. It was decided that CDA Board meetings would be held weekly, ensuring regular oversight and swift decision-making on key issues.
