Sindh Launches Home-Based Vehicle Registration Service

The Sindh government has announced a new facility for registering vehicles from home. This was revealed by Information, Transport, and Excise Minister Sharjeel Memon during a press conference.

He stated that following an important meeting of the Excise Department, it has been decided to introduce a new facility allowing vehicle registration from home.

This service will incur a government fee of ten thousand rupees, and both biometric data collection and verification will be carried out at the individual’s home.

Memon also highlighted that the department had previously raised 6.7 billion rupees in just four hours through the sale of premium number plates and plans to conduct another auction in September.

Previously, the Sindh government decided to eliminate the 60-day limit for vehicle registration, making it compulsory for individuals to purchase only registered vehicles.

Memon had stated that individuals will now be able to purchase vehicles only if they are already registered. If someone buys an unregistered vehicle, they will be required to complete the registration process before it can be used.
