Roshan Digital Account Inflows Decline to $161 Million in July

Gross foreign exchange inflows through the Roshan Digital Accounts (RDAs) stood at $161 million in July 2024, compared to $200 million in the previous month and $137 million in July 2023.

Net inflows (Gross inflow less funds repatriated) under RDA clocked in at US$ 147 million in July 2024 vs the last 6-months average of US$ 168 million and average of US$ 144 million since its launch in September 2020.

Overall RDA funds received to date increased to $8.416 billion by the end of July 2024. Till the end of July, $1.624 billion have been repatriated with $5.334 billion utilized locally. The net repatriable liability was at $1.45 billion.

From September 2020 to July 2024, total net investments made through RDA stood at $1.014 billion. NPC Investments (Conventional) stood at $357 million, while NPC Investments (Islamic) were recorded at $618 million. Roshan Equity Investments came in at $39 million. The Balances in Accounts were recorded at $411 million with Other Liabilities coming in at $32 million.

As per data, 723,598 RDAs have been opened since they were launched, representing a 1.5 percent increase on a month-on-month basis.
