Babusar Top in Kaghan Valley has welcomed its first snowfall of the season, with one inch of snow covering the region.
The snowfall has significantly dropped temperatures, delighting visitors and signaling the arrival of winter in the area.
Heavy rain persisted in Balakot and Kaghan Valley for a second day, causing Manor Nullah to overflow once more and flood Mahandri Bazaar.
The ongoing downpour has exacerbated the situation, leading to significant waterlogging in the area.
With rising water levels, traffic beyond Mahandri was temporarily halted. Once the waters receded, access to Kaghan Valley was restored. Earlier, flooding in Bhangian Nullah had closed the Kaghan Highway for several hours, causing long vehicle queues on both sides of the road.
The Meteorological Department forecasts that the rain will persist for another two days. Authorities have advised tourists and travelers to avoid non-essential trips and exercise extreme caution on the roads during this period.
