State Life Insurance has issued a warning that it may suspend the Sehat Sahulat Program at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital due to ongoing concerns about patient care and the quality of medicines provided under the scheme, according to 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The insurance provider sent a follow-up letter to the PIMS management, stressing the urgency of addressing these concerns.
In the letter, State Life Insurance noted that despite previous communications about the need to improve treatment standards and provide better-quality medicines, the PIMS management has yet to take any corrective action.
The letter criticized the hospital’s failure to uphold these standards, stating that it undermines the core purpose of the Health Facilitation Program.
State Life Insurance has given PIMS management until September 10 to resolve these issues. The letter warned that if the situation is not rectified by then, the insurance company will have no choice but to suspend the health services program at the hospital.
