In a recent ceremony at the Commissioner Office in DG Khan, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz officially launched the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” initiative.
The event, attended by provincial ministers, assembly members, and local dignitaries, featured a lottery draw to select the program’s first beneficiaries. Abdul Latif emerged as the winner of the inaugural draw.
Under this program, successful applicants will receive their first loan installment by September 15. The initiative offers loans up to 1.5 million rupees, with a repayment structure set at 14,000 rupees per month over a seven-year period.
Maryam Nawaz highlighted that the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” program is set to become the largest housing project of its kind in Pakistan, emphasizing its potential to transform housing access across the region.
Earlier, provincial information minister Azma Bokhari in a press conference revealed that 80,000 people have registered for the program.
