The price of gold in Pakistan fell by over Rs. 1,000 per tola on the opening day of the week.
According to data issued by the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of gold (24 carats) fell by Rs. 1,100 per tola to Rs. 260,400, while the price of 10 grams declined by Rs. 943 to Rs. 223,251.
Despite posting gains during the week, the price of gold declined by Rs. 1,000 per tola in the local market last week after going down by Rs. 2,000 per tola on Saturday.
In the international market, spot gold stood at $2,498.24 per ounce by 1548 GMT, while the US gold futures rose 0.1 percent at $2,527.70.
