Xiaomi’s Redmi 14 series received a C model last month, but we are getting an R model which is equally affordable with reliable specifications. It is only available in China for now, but will likely become available in other regions soon.
The Redmi 14R features a sizable 6.88-inch 720p LCD. This screen boasts a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and can reach a peak brightness of 600 nits. Notably, the display also supports wet touch functionality, enhancing usability in various conditions. The fingerprint sensor resides on the side atop the power button.
At the heart of the Redmi 14R (likely a variant of the 14C) lies Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. Memory options extend up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, while storage configurations top out at 256 GB of UFS 2.2. For users requiring additional space, the device supports microSD card expansion up to 1 TB.
The Redmi 14C comes preloaded with Xiaomi’s HyperOS, based on Android 14.
In terms of photography, the Redmi 14C features a dual-camera setup on the rear. The primary sensor offers 13 MP resolution, though details on the secondary camera are currently unspecified. Selfie enthusiasts will find a 5MP front-facing camera for self-portraits and video calls.
Powering the device is a substantial 5,160 mAh battery, with support for 18W fast charging to help keep users connected throughout the day.
The Redmi 14R has a starting price of $155 in China and is available in four color options.
