The federal government has extended transport monetization policy to the officers as well as judicial officers of the Islamabad High Court at the prescribed rates of Rs. 45,000/- and Rs. 55,000/- per month, respectively.
According to the Finance Division’s notification with regard to the extension of transport monetization policy of the Federal government to the officers of BS 18 and 19 IHC and judicial officers of BPS 18 and 19Â of the Islamabad Judicial Services.
Reference Controller General of Accounts letter No. No.16 /CGA /Reg-II/Misc. Correspondence/2016-17/ P.F.I/ 795 dated 06-08-2024. The subject case has been examined in the light of rules/ Supreme Court judgment/ references cited in notification No. (01)/Genl./HC/10556 dated 14-06-2024 of Islamabad High Court, Islamabad.
It has been conveyed that the Finance Division has no objection to the extension of transport monetization policy to BPS-18 and BPS-19 officers and judicial officers of the Islamabad High Court at the prescribed rates of Rs. 45,000/- and Rs. 55,000/- per month, respectively, subject to fulfillment of all codal formalities.
It is pertinent to note that the government had started a “controversial” monetization policy for federal government officers of Grades 20, 21, and 22 in 2012.
