The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the price of indigenous liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs. 7.31 per kg, increasing the price of 11.8 kg domestic cylinders by Rs. 86.3 for October 2024.
In a notification issued on Monday, the regulator set the consumer price of LPG at Rs. 251.30 per kg for October. The 11.8 kg domestic cylinder price for consumers has been set at Rs. 2,965.38 for October 2024 compared to Rs. 2,879.10 for September.
The regulator highlighted that the LPG producer price is linked with Saudi Aramco-CP and US dollar exchange rate. As compared to previous month Saudi Aramco-CP has increased by 3.84 percent while the average dollar exchange rate has slightly decreased by 0.125 percent resulting to increase in LPG consumer price.
It is pertinent to mention here that the price of 11.8 kg domestic cylinders went by Rs. 82.5 for September 2024.
