Gold Price in Pakistan Registers Major Decline After Record-Breaking Run

The price of gold in Pakistan posted its first major decline on Wednesday after the record-breaking rally witnessed in recent weeks.   

According to data issued by the All-Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of gold (24 carats) fell by Rs. 3,000 per tola to Rs. 271,700, while the price of 10 grams was down by Rs. 2,572 to Rs. 232,939.    

The price of 10-gram 22-karat gold also went down to Rs. 213,527 from Rs. 215,885 the Association reported.

It is pertinent to mention here that the price of gold had hit an all-time high of Rs. 277,000 per tola on September 26, 2024, in line with the surge in international prices.  

The price of per tola and ten-gram silver remained unchanged at Rs. 3,050 and Rs. 2,614.88, respectively.
