Of the 36 passengers, 14 were transferred to the FIA Circle Multan for further investigation.
According to FIA officials, the Pakistani passengers had been arrested and imprisoned in Saudi Arabia for alleged involvement in illegal activities. After their release, they were deported back to Pakistan.

The remaining passengers were allowed to return home. Meanwhile, FIA Multan also reported the arrest of human smuggler and drug trafficker Sabir Ali.
Sabir Ali allegedly took millions of rupees to send a couple to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, under the pretense of securing them jobs. Unbeknownst to the woman, Ali had hidden narcotics in her luggage. Upon arrival in Saudi Arabia, she was arrested and later died in custody. After her husband’s return to Pakistan, he filed a complaint with the FIA, which led to Sabir Ali’s arrest.
On Wednesday, a court handed Sabir Ali over to the FIA on a three-day physical remand for further investigation. In a separate case, the FIA cyber crime branch in Multan arrested Jam Shair for his alleged involvement in child pornography.
FIA officials said the arrest followed a complaint from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Acting on the tip, the FIA cyber crime team raided Jam Shair’s residence in Muzaffargarh, where they found child pornography material on his mobile phone, which was confiscated. Shair is now in FIA custody for further investigation.
