Pakistan’s petroleum imports rose by 4 percent in September 2024, according to trade data issued by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
According to the data, the country’s petroleum imports stood at $1.388 billion in September 2024 compared to $1.331 billion in September 2023.
However, on a month-on-month basis, petroleum imports were down 1 percent in September 2024 compared to imports of $1.398 billion in August 2024.
In 1QFY25, petroleum imports stood at $4.053 billion, up 15.7 percent compared to $3.502 billion in the same quarter of the previous year.
