Unreleased Snapdragon 8 Elite Defeats Apple’s Latest and Greatest iPhone 16 Pro

Qualcomm is scheduled to reveal its latest flagship processor on Monday. The Snapdragon 8 Elite, previously referred to as Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, is generating buzz with its early benchmark scores even before its official announcement.

A leaked benchmark score from a prototype Realme GT7 Pro has surfaced, showcasing the chipset’s impressive capabilities. The device reportedly achieved a staggering 3,025,991 points on the AnTuTu benchmark platform, setting a new performance record.

This score significantly outpaces competitors in the mobile processor arena. Apple’s A18 Pro, for instance, typically scores around 1.65 million points. Similarly, MediaTek’s recently introduced Dimensity 9400 chipset, which had previously reached approximately 2.8 million points, falls short of the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s reported performance.

Rumors suggest that Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite processor will have two distinct versions. The base model is said to feature two high-performance cores clocking up to 4.09 GHz, complemented by six efficiency cores running at 2.78 GHz. For those seeking even more power, a premium variant is rumored to push the high-performance cores to 4.32 GHz.

Both iterations of the chipset are expected to incorporate the Adreno 830 GPU, leveraging TSMC’s cutting-edge 3nm manufacturing process. This advanced process could significantly improve the processor’s efficiency and overall performance.

In addition to its remarkable AnTuTu scores, the chipset has reportedly performed exceptionally well in Geekbench tests. These preliminary findings suggest that Qualcomm’s latest offering may represent a substantial leap forward in mobile processing capabilities.
