Federal Cabinet Postpones Approval of Hajj Policy

The Federal Cabinet on Tuesday once again postponed the approval of the Hajj policy.

During a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today, the agenda related to the Jammu and Kashmir State Property Budget and the approval of the ECO Clean Energy Center were deferred.

The Cabinet approved eight other agenda items, including decisions made by the Economic Coordination Committee and the Cabinet Committee on Legislative Affairs.

The Prime Minister thanked all political parties for supporting the twenty-sixth constitutional amendment.

The PM also praised the successful hosting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting.

Shehbaz raised concerns about rising polio cases in the country. He directed the immediate formulation of a comprehensive anti-polio strategy and also approved the Domestic Violence (Prevention and Protection) Bill 2024 to provide a legal framework for addressing domestic violence and punishing offenders.
