At separate weddings in Sialkot and Narowal, friends of the grooms showered both local and foreign currency notes, along with various gifts.
In Metranwali, Sialkot, friends of the groom brought bags of currency, showering dollars, pounds, euros, and Pakistani rupees over the guests. They also handed out mobile phones and clothes during the celebration.
The groom, Hamid, from Sialkot, received Rs500,000 each from his friends, and the wedding procession traveled from Metranwali, Daska to Gujranwala.
In Narowal, a similar scene unfolded at a wedding in Totewali, where the groom’s friends and brothers tossed currency notes and suits from the roof. Guests, including both children and adults, used nets to catch the falling notes and suits.
