Xpeng, a leading Chinese electric vehicle (EV) company, has launched its latest electric sedan, the P7+. This model showcases Xpeng’s advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomous driving, emphasizing the company’s commitment to the future of smart and sustainable mobility.
AI-Defined Vehicle
The Xpeng P7+ is the world’s first AI-defined vehicle, designed to make driving safer, smarter, and more enjoyable. Using advanced AI, the P7+ adapts to drivers’ preferences, learning from their behaviors to offer a personalized experience.
According to Xpeng’s CEO, He Xiaopeng, the company aims to make AI technology accessible to drivers, creating a “mobile butler” that enhances the driving experience and reduces traffic issues.

Specifications
The P7+ is available in three versions, each with different ranges and acceleration times:
- Long Range Max: Range of 602-615 km, 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds
- Ultra Long Range Max: Range of 710-725 km, 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds
- Limited Edition Max: Range of 685-700 km, 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds; only 500 units are available
The prices for these versions range from 186,800 to 218,800 Yuan ($26,100 – $30,600).
Exterior Design
The P7+ features a sleek and modern design. It measures 5,056 mm in length, 1,937 mm in width, and 1,512 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The car has a drag coefficient of just 0.206Cd, thanks to its aerodynamic shape. It’s offered in five colors: silver, beige, white, black, and purple.

Screens: A 15.6-inch central screen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, and an 8-inch rear entertainment screen
Comfort: Nappa leather seats with heating, ventilation, and massage features
Entertainment: 20 speakers and ambient lights with four modes (welcome, breathing, music rhythm, door warning)
Storage: Standard trunk volume of 725 L, expandable to 2,221 L, fitting up to 33 suitcases
The panoramic sunroof spans 2.1㎡, blocking 99.9% of UV rays, making it perfect for sunny days.
Power and Battery
The P7+ is equipped with a single rear electric motor and an 800V platform. There are two motor options:
High-Power Motor: 230 kW with 450 Nm torque, reaching up to 200 km/h
Low-Power Motor: 180 kW with 450 Nm torque
The P7+ offers two battery options: a 60.7 kWh pack with a 602 km range and a 76.3 kWh pack with up to 710 km. With fast charging, the P7+ can charge from 0% to 80% in just 20 minutes.
Advanced AI and Smart Driving
The P7+ uses Xpeng’s AI Hawkeye Visual Solution, which includes two 8M cameras, millimeter-wave radars, and ultrasonic radars. This AI-based system replaces traditional Lidar, delivering precise performance in various light conditions. The smart system can recognize road signs and traffic signals in diverse urban areas, ensuring reliable driving assistance.
Using company’s own AI chips, the car can use on-car and cloud-based processing to enable self-driving and GPT-4o based voice communication with the vehicle.
Xpeng’s advanced XNGP system provides navigation and driver assistance across multiple cities, offering seamless autonomous capabilities. Additionally, the P7+ receives regular over-the-air updates, constantly improving its performance.
Record-Breaking Launch
The P7+ launched on November 7 and quickly gained popularity. On the first day, Xpeng received over 31,500 orders, setting a new company record. Within 12 minutes of launch, over 10,000 firm orders were placed. Production is managed at Xpeng’s Guangzhou plant, which operates independently from the facility producing the Mona M03 model.
