All Motorways Reopened Except One After PTI Protest Ends

The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has announced that all motorways, except the Peshawar-Islamabad motorway, are open for traffic.

According to an official statement, key motorways, including the Lahore-Islamabad (M-2), Sialkot-Lahore (M-11), Multan-Sukkur (M-4), and Dera Ghazi Khan-DI Khan (M-14), are fully operational for commuters.

NHMP has reassured citizens of smooth traffic flow and encouraged travelers to plan their journeys without concern. For up-to-date information on road and traffic conditions, the NHMP has urged motorists to contact their helpline at 130 or visit their official social media channels.

Additionally, the public is advised to check weather conditions and follow safety protocols to ensure a secure travel experience.

This development comes as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest ended, bringing a swift return to normalcy in Islamabad, Lahore, and surrounding areas.

Following a large-scale operation late last night, the protesters vacated key locations, including D-Chowk and Blue Area in Islamabad. Vehicles previously blocking roads and highways have been removed, and many protesters have returned to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Major routes like the Express Highway, which was heavily congested during the protests, have been cleared, and traffic is flowing smoothly again.
