Huawei has officially announced a launch event scheduled for December 12 in Dubai, marking the global debut of its highly anticipated Huawei Mate X6 foldable smartphone.
The event is themed “Unfold the classic as a new era of flagship foldable excellence begins,” and will highlight this device, promising to set new bars to reach in foldable category.
The Huawei Mate X6, which initially launched in China, features a 7.93-inch LTPO 2.0 foldable display that provides an exceptional viewing experience when fully expanded. The device also boasts a 6.45-inch LTPO 2.0 outer display when folded, with both screens offering a smooth 120Hz refresh rate for fluid visuals and responsiveness.
For photography enthusiasts, the Mate X6 offers a triple-camera system. It includes a 50MP main sensor, a 40MP ultrawide lens, and a 48MP telephoto macro sensor.
Additionally, the Huawei Mate X6 has a 5,200 mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging, ensuring users can quickly recharge and maintain power throughout their day. The phone also offers 50W wireless charging, 7.5W reverse wireless, and 5W reverse wired charging.
Alongside the Mate X6, Huawei is expected to unveil several other products at the event, including the MatePad Pro 13.2 tablet and the FreeBuds Pro 4 wireless earbuds. The event may also feature a new Sapphire Gold version of the Huawei Watch Ultimate.
While Huawei has confirmed the global launch of the Mate X6, there are currently no indications that the company plans to introduce other Mate series devices internationally at this time. The December 12 event will provide further details about the availability of Huawei’s latest products in global markets.
