Karachi Announces Traffic Plan for International Urdu Conference

Authorities in Karachi have announced a detailed traffic plan for the upcoming International Urdu Conference, which will take place over four days. To ensure the smooth flow of the event, several roads will be closed, and traffic will be restricted in key areas of the city.

From 4 pm to 9 pm throughout the conference, the road from MR Kiyani Chowk to the Governor’s House will be closed.

Additionally, the road from Masjid Ahl-e-Hadees to the Sindh Assembly will also be off-limits. Commercial vehicles will be restricted from entering vital locations, including Press Club Chowk and Shaheen Complex, to reduce congestion in the area.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah is scheduled to attend the event as the guest of honor. The conference will feature 64 sessions, bringing together local and international writers and poets.

To assist attendees, parking has been arranged at multiple locations such as Sir Syed Road, in front of the Polo Ground, near the Sindh Assembly, and outside the Physiotherapy Library. Motorists are advised to plan their journeys in advance to avoid delays and disruptions caused by the event.
